Please join us for an exhibit of Aurora Art teachers Artworks at Downtown Aurora Visual Arts. This marks the ninth annual Aurora Art Educators show.
DAVA is located at 1405 Florence St., one block south of Colfax Avenue in Original Aurora. The exhibit will be open to the public on Thursday January 28 with the opening reception from 4 to 7 pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday or by appointment through February 26, 2010.
“Art is the expression of life,” writes Beth Engelking, Aurora Academy art teacher and co-coordinator of the exhibit. “Even with our busy schedules, art teachers must find time to create; it’s our way of being. Also we must live up to our expectations of being experts in the field”, adds co-coordinator Deborah Sticher, art teacher at Boston K-8.
This exhibit will include ceramics, paintings, photographs, collages and art in other media made by Aurora Public Schools’ art educators.
