APS Transition Plan 2009-10
At its February 7 meeting, the Board of Education voted to discontinue the Employee Transition program beginning in the 2009-10 school year. The Board also determined it would revisit the program at a future date if the budget permits.
As a reminder, applications for the 2008-09 Transition Plan are due to Human Resources no later than 4:30 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2008. If you have not finalized your decision to transition for 2008-09, it is recommended that you still submit your application in order to be considered. Transition may be rescinded as late as June 30, 2008. Applications are available on apsnet under HR Forms.

Books and materials being considered for adoption by Aurora Public Schools Board of Education will be on display for public inspection beginning Friday, February 15 and continuing through Friday, February 29, 2008. The display will be located at the Division of Instruction, Educational Services Center Building 2, 15751 East First Avenue, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Basic and supplemental materials in the following areas are being considered for adoption:
Family and Consumer Science
World Language
Business and Technology
Elementary and Secondary Mathematics
Career and Technical Skilled Trades and Technical Sciences
Rangeview H.S. to Showcase National History Day

You’re invited to Celebrate National History Day with Rangeview High School!
Rangeview High School students and staff will showcase National History Day on Feb. 15th with projects set up in the Rangeview Commons starting at 3 pm. In addition, students and staff will show documentary films in two lecture halls, present papers and web sites that will be judged in World Languages, and will stage historical performances in the auditorium.
Everyone is invited to stop by for a few minutes to check out Rangeivew’s History Day projects!
If you are interested in judging any of the projects, contact Matthew Willis at mrwillis@aps.k12.co.us . It’s quite an experience to see students cheer each other for academic excellence!
