Enjoy free food and entertainment at the APS Back to School Kickoff celebration. A host of community business and APS staff are partnering for a fun-filled event for the entire family.
Saturday, August 1

William Smith H.S. Reunion

William Smith High School would like to invite anyone who has attended or graduated from William Smith, to this year’s 2009 reunion. Anyone who has been a student, teacher, or other faculty member of William Smith High School- knows what a close bond we all had, and still have with one another.
We feel such a strong connection that we have what we call “All School Reunions” (for all graduating classes) every other year. Our reunions are so much fun that friends, family and even teachers past and present show up.
Our reunions have now been taking place since 1997. Friendships made while attending William Smith HS seem to last forever.
We look forward to celebrating these friendships this summer. If you attended or work(ed) at William Smith High School, or know someone who did- pass the word along. We look forward to seeing you soon!!

Anyone who has attended, graduated from, worked at, or is currently working at William Smith High School. Family members are welcome to come.

$15.00 per person or family. Wristbands will be provided and required after payment has been received.

All other testing times are at Pickens Technical College, 500 Airport Boulevard, Mobile 78, Aurora, CO 80011. To find us at our new location, turn into the main Pickens driveway. At the stop sign, turn left and proceed around the side of the Pickens building to the next stop sign. Mobile 78 is straight ahead. Park in the parking lot, walk up the ramp and enter through the double glass doors.

Back to School Shape-Up Registration for APS Staff

Welcome Back,
At Aurora Public Schools, we are committed to providing and promoting a culture that encourages healthy lifestyles. That is why our Risk Management Department would like to take this opportunity to invite all staff to join Back-to-School Shape-Up, a 6-week physical activity and nutrition program and team competition.
During Back-to-School Shape-Up, staff will track individual points accumulated for different types of physical activities performed and the servings of fruits and vegetables consumed. Individuals and/or teams will tally weekly points and be able to see progress along the way. Prizes will be awarded for participation and meeting specific goals.
*** Registration will begin Monday, August 10th through August 14th.
*** The Challenge starts Monday, August 24th thru Friday, October 2nd. For more details and registration form please click on the link.

APS BOARD OF EDUCATION WORK SESSION
The Aurora Public Schools Board of Education will hold a work session on Tuesday, August 11 to review board policies and goals and to plan for the 2009-10 school year.
This work session will take place from 5:45-7:45 p.m. in the Dr. Edward and Mrs. Patricia Lord Boardroom in ESC 4, 1085 Peoria Street.
