mom1.jpgThe APS vision is to graduate every student with the choice to attend college without remediation. That vision was seen across APS on College Friday. The day is designed to give adults an opportunity to talk with young people about pursuing education beyond high school. APS staff wore their favorite college apparel to get students thinking about college.

elizabeth-hirshweb.jpgStudents from the Class of 2010 enjoyed a one-day camp at Hinkley High School. The camp was sponsored by the Community College of Aurora, Xcel Energy and College in Colorado.

Students had the opportunity to explore human biology and adaptation, build pasta and marshmallow structures, examine animal brains and learn about the internal hardware of a computer.

college-in-colorado.jpgCCA President, Dr. Linda Bowman, welcomed the Class of 2010 to CCA and APS Coordinator for Diversity Education, Jesus Escarcega, shared inspirational stories with the group reminding the class of 2010 that college is for everybody!
