"One Lump or Two?"
Aurora Hills Middle School students celebrated diversity by hosting the fourth annual Friendship Tea. Students in the Cultural Explorers Club poured a variety of exotic teas from silver pots to special guests at the event.
“Learning the different teas of the world and how to properly serve them was so much fun.”

More than fifty people, including APS board member Judy Edberg, also sampled foods from around the world offered by students, parents and staff. Flags and miniature travel trunks lined the tables filled with savory dishes. Students served baklava, homemade tamales, Filipino lumpia and Australian sausage rolls during the celebration.
”Each annual tea celebration is special, but this one was the tops!” said Barb Sweet, Aurora Hills nurse. “This was a good opportunity for our staff and community members to sit down and share tea, time and culture with everyone.”
“Sitting down to a cup of tea and delicious food brings out the best in all of us in our community! It’s events like this that bring VISTA 2010 to life. The diversity strengthens and enriches our school district and community!”
