Superintendent John L. Barry recognized 10 individuals who make a difference in the lives of APS students. Barry honored eight staff members, a parent and a community/business member with Superintendent Annual Awards on May 25. The honorees were chosen from the 2006-07 Superintendent Quarterly Award winners.
Each Annual Award winner received a recognition plaque and a gift basket of donated items from the Aurora Education Foundation.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill served dinner to more than 100 people in attendance. The Gateway Venus choir group entertained the audience with “Songs from the Decades.”
Superintendent Barry recognized Bret Baumgartner and Congressman Ed Perlmutter for their continued support of APS students.
