APS PACEsetter: Ken Deal
- Deal graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1982. He attended Aurora Public Schools for twelve years, including Montview Elementary School, North Middle School and Aurora Central High School.
- Deal earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Florida International University.
- He also earned a Master of Arts degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix in 2000.
- In 2003, Deal began flight training and has since obtained a commercial pilot certificate. Deal is a government pilot who travels on collateral assignments while working full time as the Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal for the District of Colorado.
- As the Chief Deputy, Deal directs the day-to-day activities of the United States Marshals Service for Colorado. Deal also provides for the care and custody of persons arrested for a crime and placed in control of the U.S. Marshal.
