Gateway Football Team Adopts Street
When Gateway High School athletes aren’t “tearing up the field” during a football game, they are ”sweeping up the streets” in their local community.
Players on all three Gateway football teams have adopted the surrounding campus streets to help keep their community clean and beautiful. Led by coach Justin Hoffman, Gateway athletes like DD, Caleb and John have been regularly picking up trash along Sable Ave. and nearby streets from Florida St. to Alameda Ave. since August.
“We strongly believe that it takes more than working hard on the field to turn student-athletes into winners. Caring about and supporting your local community makes you an even bigger winner.”
- Justin Hoffman
