Hinkley High School’s Student Leadership Team participated in the recent “From Civil Rights to Human Rights: Training and Education” conference.

The conference covered issues of civil and human rights around the topics of employment, healthcare, education, law enforcement and housing, and the event included presenters from around the country. Several Hinkley students participated on a discussion panel about sexual harassment in schools.

“The panel that our students participated in was a stimulating discussion about sexism, its causes and effects, and what we can do to prevent it. I think students really gained important insight from the panel discussion and the conference as whole.”
