Lyn Knoll Commemorates Air Force at 60
Students at Lyn Knoll Elementary welcomed Air Force men and women into their school to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Air Force.
The military men and women shared stories about why they decided to join the Air Force and how they defend their country.
The special guests discussed how new technology has changed their jobs. They have seen technology shift from typewriters to computers, letters to e-mail, and old planes to new jets.
“We are here to share the history of the Air Force and talk to kids about Buckley Air Force Base. We want them to know that the Air Force is here for them.”
- Senior Master Sergeant Ramon Roldan
Students and their special guests sat together to eat a gigantic birthday cake in honor of the special day.
“I think it’s cool that they work together with the Navy, Marines and Army.”
