Altura Students Mingle with APD for Lunch
Altura Elementary School students ate lunch recently with members of the Aurora Police Department. Three officers enjoyed Rib-B-Que, carrot sticks, chilled pineapple, and birthday cake with students as part of the APD “Lunch with Blue” program. Through the program, officers visit APS schools to establish positive relationships with students and staff members.
As the kids filed into the cafeteria the officers greeted each child with a “high five.” The students were very eager to sit next to officers.
