In a surprise ceremony before last Tuesday’s board meeting, Superintendent John L. Barry and the APS Board of Education dedicated the APS Boardroom to Dr. Edward Lord and Patricia Lord.
“With a combined tenure of 30 years, we have the privilege of honoring two of the most dedicated board members who have ever served Aurora Public Schools.”

In additon to their years of board service, the two Aurora Central graduates and lifelong Aurora residents have also served the school district and the local community throughout their lives.
Mr. Barry unveiled a new plaque that was mounted at the entrance to the boardroom to honor the dedicated couple.
