North Middle School Produces Poets
APS students do more than just succeed in the classroom; they reach out in the community to showcase their work. Five North Middle School students in Kyle Dudley’s literacy class did just that.
They entered the Creative Communications Young Poets Contest and their poems were selected and earned the distinction of becoming published in Anthology, A Celebration of Young Poets. Their classroom received a copy of the book with their published poems.
“I can’t believe my poem was chosen. It makes me want to try another essay contest soon.”
- Vyanette Mercado
