Aurora Central Interact Club Sends Holiday Packages to Troops

Students in Central’s Interact Club raised funds for toiletries, holiday treats, DVD’s and other items to send to U.S. Troops in Iraq. They also included homemade cards with the care packages.

Sponsored by the Aurora Rotary Club, the Interact Club includes 35 students who volunteer for community projects throughout the year.

“This project was a great way for students to show their support for our troops abroad and spread some holiday cheer,” said Joan Hayes, Interact Club sponsor.

Students received letters of thank you and support from the troops. Two of the letters are included below:
