At the February 19, 2008, Board meeting, the Board of Education will again discuss as an information item G section (Personnel) policies that were presented as an information item on February 7. These policies are proposed policy GAA, Monitoring of School District Property; GCCAG, Staff Leaves of Absence Without Pay; GCQF, Discipline, Suspension and Dismissal of Nonlicensed Administrators and Professional Technical Employees; and GDQD, Discipline, Suspension and Dismissal of Support Staff.

Note: School district administration will recommend to the Board at the February 19 meeting that a discussion of the definition of the term “immediate family member” under policy GCCAA, Staff Sick Leave, along with a discussion of whether health insurance benefits should be extended to domestic partners, should both be deferred pending teacher contract negotiations and a more thorough examination of the costs of the potential health insurance change.
Board of Education meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Dr. Edward and Mrs. Patricia Lord Boardroom at Educational Services Center - Peoria Building, 1085 Peoria St. The public is invited to attend.
