Paris Holds First Annual Family Math Night
Paris Elementary School celebrated its first Family Math Night on Feb. 6. The event showcased student learning and provided them an opportunity to show their parents how to play fun and engaging mathematical activities. Over 100 families visited classrooms where teachers provided guidance through various games to promote problem solving and mathematical thinking.
Paris also hosted a pizza party fundraiser for one of its students suffering from leukemia. Students and staff members raised nearly $1000 by raffling items donated from staff and local retailers.
Paris Principal Lisa Jones ended the evening by offering the students a challenge. She will host a pizza party for the class who continues to play their math game the most at home between now and the end of the month!
Paris is looking forward to having Family Math Night annually.
