As Alicia Keys would sing, “no one, no one, no one” can jam on the violin with a hip-hop and R&B twist like Colorado native Jeff “Maestro” Hughes.
Hughes, who performed at the 2008 Grammy Awards with The Foo Fighters, gave Murphy Creek K-8 School students a performance they’ll never forget. Playing familiar tunes like Alicia Keys’ hit song “No One,” Hughes had students moving, grooving and singing along with the voice of his violin strings.
“I liked him a lot. I want to play the violin like that!” exclaimed 1st grader Audrey Salters.
