Fulton Raises “Pennies for Patients”
Fulton students have shown their compassion and their generosity to kids with cancer by raising $1929.00 through their “Pennies for Patients” program.
Fulton joined the campaign to raise money for children in Colorado who have cancer. After learning about cancer through a Charlie Brown video and an assembly that was sponsored by the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, students decided that they wanted to help.
One student exhausted his savings of $100.00 to give to the campaign. His father commented how his son had been saving for a long time and had never wanted to touch his savings until now. Other children brought in baggies of coins and yet others brought in $5, $10 and $20 bills. It was a heartwarming feeling for the staff to see how much the families at Fulton will do support others who are in greater need than themselves.
