College Friday Hits APS
College Friday, sponsored by College In Colorado, is the day designated to raise awareness about the importance of higher education for Colorado’s youth. This year, College Day took place Friday, April 11, and coincided with the statewide ACT exam.
The APS Nutrition Services Department encouraged all students and staff members to wear their favorite college apparel on Friday, April 11, to support College Friday.
Currently, Colorado ranks second in the nation for the greatest number of degree holders per capita, yet only one in five Colorado ninth-grade students will earn a college degree.
In support of the APS Vision to graduate every child with the choice to attend college without remediation, students, staff, parents and community members will participate in many “college and career” school themes this month.
