APS Hosts Governor Ritter

Governor Bill Ritter returns to his high school alma mater next week. Gateway High School will host the governor as he signs into law five education bills.

The bills expected to be signed that day include:

• HB 1204 (Peniston/Williams), Educ Services For Students In Facilities
• HB 1223 (Merrifield/Williams), Training Around Literacy Challenges K-12
• HB 1370 (Middleton/Bacon), School Counselor Corps Grant Program // LG
• HB 1384 (Todd/Bacon), Teacher Quality Recruitment Retention
• HB 1386 (Merrifield/Spence), School Leadership Academy Program

The public is welcome to attend the special ceremony.
