A heartwarming event at Jewell Elementary School recently matched APS students, teachers and parents with a sharp pair of scissors. 14 people, including APS Board of Education member Amy Prince, donated their hair to the non-profit organization “Locks of Love.”
The group provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Xenon International provided hairstylists for the event.
