Gateway Hosts Governor for Bill Signing

Governor Bill Ritter returned to his high school alma mater in a show of support for a number of education bills. Gateway High School hosted the governor as he signed into law five bills.

The bills included:

• HB 1204 (Peniston/Williams), Educ Services For Students In Facilities
• HB 1223 (Merrifield/Williams), Training Around Literacy Challenges K-12
• HB 1370 (Middleton/Bacon), School Counselor Corps Grant Program
• HB 1384 (Todd/Bacon), Teacher Quality Recruitment Retention
• HB 1386 (Merrifield/Spence), School Leadership Academy Program
