sable cdc qualistarThe Child Development Center at Sable Elementary has earned the prestigious four-star Qualistar rating.

The Qualistar rating is part of the School Readiness Project, a grant that provides coaching and supplies to promote quality preschool or childcare classrooms. Qualistar evaluations are conducted annually at each preschool site. The four-star rating is the highest possible score.

In addition to the APS Child Development Center, five APS elementary schools participate in the project– Sable, Altura, Fletcher, Fulton and Montview. The Sable site is the first to receive a four-star rating.

Developed by 150 early childhood experts, the Qualistar rating measures quality in licensed early learning programs, both home and center-based, that serve children from birth to kindergarten. The assessment uses a four-star rating system.
