WHAT: Community partnership announced at ice cream social
WHEN: August 10, 2 - 4 p.m.
WHERE: General’s Park, Colfax and Quentin - Aurora
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED AT SOCIAL
Major community partners are lending support to the good things happening in Aurora Public Schools. Students, staff and families associated with Montview and Paris elementary schools will benefit.
The partnership includes The Children’s Hospital, University of Colorado Denver, University of Colorado Hospital and Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority. The groups will celebrate at a back-to-school ice cream social on Sunday, August 10 at General’s Park in Aurora (near the corner of Colfax and Quentin) from 2 - 4 p.m. They will publicly announce plans for the 2008-09 school year at 2:30 p.m.
Hundreds of families are expected at the event. Speakers include:
Bruce Schroffel, President and CEO, University of Colorado Hospital
John Barry, Superintendent, Aurora Public Schools
Chancellor M. Roy Wilson, MD, University of Colorado Denver
Edward Tauer, Mayor of Aurora, Colorado
Jim Shmerling, President & CEO, The Children’s Hospital
