Students Spend Summer Writing Play
By April Govednik
Some students spend their summer soaking up the sun. Others spend their summer writing and producing a play. A group of students from Vassar Elementary School’s Kid Connection daycare program did just that.
The group of 11 students spent countless hours working on “Jack and the Magical Axe.” On July 31, 2008, their hard work paid off when they put on their short show for parents teachers, and their peers.
“The kids have worked hard the last couple weeks writing, producing and making their own props” said director Mrs. Krystal, “it was a great way to end our summer.”
