APS Students Experience Democratic National Convention
Hundreds of APS students gained a first-hand look at politics, as part of the Democratic National Convention. For the first time in 100 years, Denver was the site of the presidential nominating event.
- North Middle School students toured the Pepsi Center prior to the convention
- 400 students (80 from each APS high school) attended a health symposium on Monday
- Gateway High School students participated in a Web cast with 9News live at the DNC on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
