Aurora Public Schools students and staff joined more than 700 community members to celebrate the 14th Annual “Aurora Veterans Salute,” at the Wings over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. The Side Creek Elementary School Choir entertained the audience with a “Proud Young Patriots Salute” and students with the AFJROTC CO-21 Squadron performed a precision drill maneuver. As part of the APS event sponsorship, students also assisted in setting up the event, greeting guests and serving lunch and refreshments.
The event is presented each year by the Aurora Center for Active Adults to honor the contribution of Colorado veterans.
