APSEF Launches New Giving Campaign

APS Education FoundationThe Aurora Public Schools Foundation recently kicked off the “Building Better Resources for APS” giving campaign. APSEF is hoping to raise $60,000 this year.

“If every APS staff member donated $1 per month to the campaign, we could easily reach our goal of $60,000 this year,” APSEF Executive Director Angela Thompson said.

The Building Better Resources forms have already been delivered to schools and sites. Staff members may give in the following ways:

  • Monthly payroll deduction (January - December 2009)
  • Check (payable to APS Education Foundation)
  • One-time deduction (January 2009)
  • Cash

Trion Promotion and DesignAs an incentive for staff members to contribute during the Building Better Resources Campaign, Trion Promotions and Design will provide a full lunch to the schools and sites with the highest percentage of employees who donate.

Funds from the campaign will be used for student and teacher scholarships and grants that support innovative classroom initiatives. To assist with the Building Better Resources Campaign, APSEF has volunteer ambassadors at each school and site. The giving campaign runs through Dec. 5.
