MONTVIEW ELEMENTARY FIGHTS BACK AGAINST THE FLU

A partnership involving Aurora Public Schools, The Children’s Hospital, University of Colorado Denver, University of Colorado Hospital and Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority is protecting students from an all-too familiar seasonal virus - influenza.

A flu vaccination clinic for Montview Elementary students and staff is planned for Thursday, December 11. The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About 2 weeks after vaccination, antibodies that provide protection against the flu virus develop in the body.
