Learning from Park Lane Students
Ask the students of Park Lane Elementary School a question and they will quickly answer! A group of ten fifth graders recently visited The Children’s Hospital to share presentations about celebrations associated with the month of December.
“It’s cool that we can teach adults and they learn something,” said Makenna, a Park Lane fifth grader.
The group researched Kwanzaa, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Pearl Harbor Day and Rosa Parks Day. The students put together displays and visited with staff, patients and families at The Children’s Hospital about the importance of each celebration.
“I really like when the adults come by and ask us questions and we answer. It’s awesome to be here,” said Brianna, a Park Lane fifth grader.
