Peoria Elementary students honored the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. recently by putting their handprints and messages on a banner. Volunteers with Verizon Business helped the second and third grade students create the banner, which will hang at the MLK Library at 9898 East Colfax Avenue.
Aurora City Council member Deborah Wallace accepted the banner on behalf of the city.
