The Colorado Department of Transportation has finished repairs on the bridge walkway that our students use to cross Sixth Avenue at Vaughn St. The bridge is now open again and students may use the bridge to cross 6th Avenue.

February 9, 2009 at 8 p.m.The bridge crossway that many of our students and families use to cross 6th Ave. at Vaughn St. has been closed by the Colorado Department of Transportation. We do not know how long the bridge will be closed. In the meantime, in the interest of safety, please advise children NOT to cross at 6th and Vaughn because there is not a crosswalk. As a precaution, if students or families need to cross 6th Ave., please walk down the street to Potomac or Del Mar Parkway because both of these streets have a light AND a crosswalk. Thank you for your help keeping our students safe.

No sabemos por cuánto tiempo estará cerrado el puente. Por mientras, en el interés de seguridad, por favor aconsejen a los niños NO cruzar la avenida 6th en la calle Vaughn porque ahí no hay cruce peatonal. Como precaución, si alumnos y familias necesitan cruzar la avenida 6th, por favor caminen hasta la calle Potomac o la calle Del Mar Parkway porque ambas calles tienen semáforos y cruces peatonales.
