Peoria Elementary students win MLK Essay Contest

Fifth grade students at Peoria Elementary recently earned first place in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest this year at the Aurora Public Library. Students in Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Justman’s Fifth Grade Special Education Cluster Classroom won a $50 gift card from Barnes and Noble for their collection of essays they wrote about the Civil Rights leader. The students decided to donate the gift card to the Peoria Elementary Library for books that all the students at Peoria could enjoy.
