APS Teachers Present at National Conference…Virtually!
For the first time ever, APS teachers presented at a national conference virtually– thanks to the use of a web-based video conferencing system developed by the Instructional Technology department.
APS was one of only three school districts spotlighted during the Association of Teacher Educators annual meeting in Dallas on Feb. 17. APS was selected as a school district which embraces the idea of the 21st Century classroom. The theme of this year’s conference was “The Global Imperative: Educating and Assessing the Whole Child, Teachers and Community.”
The group of educators participating virtually in the APS session will now make recommendations to the Department of Education on what is needed in a 21st Century classroom.
