The Hilton Hotels Chain selected Arkansas Elementary School in Aurora Public Schools as a partner in collaboration to encourage young minds towards sciences and mathematics.
Cindy Walker, General Manager at the Hilton Hotel in Denver/South Meridian contacted Arkansas Elementary school Principal Dr. Alejandra Morales and shared her vision of using Hilton’s resources as a way to give the children a brighter and broader opportunity to view science and mathematics as a step towards greater minds.
Arkansas Elementary embraced this initiative by inviting kids from grades K-2 and 3-5 to pilot two Science Clubs. Parents’ response was a key component and students’ enthusiasm made it happen. The Science Club meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:15 a.m. to 9:20 a.m.
