APS Teammates,
Often when we are busy in our lives, we fail to take stock of the accomplishments we have enabled. Attached is an update on how we have progressed on our strategic plan, VISTA 2010. It is an amazing list of successful efforts that help us keep a laser focus on accelerating student achievement and closing the socio-economic gaps. Please look it over when you get a chance and find where you have made a contribution to the strategic plan.
We are demonstrating amazing growth as a team for our students–I have always said we have the talent and skills to be the best school district in the state of Colorado, and you are moving us towards that goal everyday.
I was going to wait till the end of the year to send this to everyone but as we enter Spring and we are getting close to Spring Break, I thought it might be a nice way to approach the final months of the school year.
Regarding Spring Break, please take the time to relax and enjoy your family and friends. Please take care of each other and your families–we need everyone of you back healthy and relaxed to close out this amazing year.
Celebrate, recognize and honor our progress. You are amazing teammates and I am blessed to be your Superintendent.
