THE DENVER FOUNDATION SUPPORTS APS PILOT SCHOOLS

Aurora Public Schools will host a celebration for the continued support of the district’s next Pilot Schools. Fletcher Elementary School, currently a K-5, will open as two separate schools sharing the same facility beginning in the 2009-10 school year.

The Denver Foundation awarded $18,000 to APS in support of the Pilot Schools model. The grant will enable a facilitator to assist potential Pilot Schools with the tremendous amount of preparation, planning and marketing that is required to both receive District approval, as well as successfully implement the Pilot School model into the specific school.

Please join Superintendent John L. Barry and the Board of Education to learn more about the continued support of Pilot Schools in APS.
