Aurora Central Student to Attend National Youth Science Camp
Aurora Central High School student Christian Pedroza is one of only two students in the state chosen to represent Colorado this summer at the National Youth Science Camp in West Virginia. Pedroza is part of the Aurora LIGHTS program.
The National Youth Science Camp challenges students academically in an intense residential program. Scientists from across the nation will present lectures and hands-on science seminars to the student delegates. Pedroza will have all educational and recreational programming, meals, lodging and round-trip airfare paid by the group’s foundation.
Aurora LIGHTS is supported by a $3.9 million grant. The program shines the light on health sciences and creates a pathway that leads students into health care professions.
