Dear APS Administrative Assistants at all levels,
This week is a special one because the nation will be pausing to recognize outstanding school employees who make a difference every day.
Administrative Assistants across the country will be in the spotlight as students, parents and our communities celebrate “National Administrative Assistant Day.” In APS, we’ll have a special ticker announcement on our Web site that pays tribute to our assistants.
During this special week, we need to all take a moment to thank these outstanding staff members that devote countless hours to our employees and students. John F. Kennedy once said, “There is an old saying that the course of civilization is a race between catastrophe and education. In a democracy such as ours, we must make sure that education wins the race.” Administrative Assistants are often the corporate memory of APS and are vital to our education race–remember, everyone counts, no one is invisible and everyone can make a difference.
The APS Board of Education and I are proud of the work that you all do. We are honored to be a part of the same team!
