APS Celebrates National School Nurses Day

Aurora Public Schools will celebrate National School Nurses Day on May 6 this year. APS has 30 full-time nurses who serve preschool, elementary and secondary schools. School nurses are dedicated to the health and educational success of every student.

National Nurses Week starts on Wednesday, May 6 and ends on Tuesday, May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. This national celebration is a 35-year old tradition.

APS thanks school nurses for helping to improve the health and educational success of our students. Students learn best when they feel well.
