Rangeview Students Participate in State History Competition
Rangeview students jointed more than 600 other students and 100 teachers from around the state in the annual Colorado History Day. This year’s Colorado History Day was very competitive with phenomenal group and individual projects in categories that included exhibits, documentary films, performances, research papers and Web sites.
Although no Rangeview students qualified to continue on to the national competition, Rangeview High School walked away with many awards and a plethora of students who made it into the final elimination rounds. Please congratulate this year’s award winners from Rangeview High School:
- Best Denver Regional Project - Casey Hunt
- Best Use of Geography in a Historical Project - Margaret Muyore Ndengu
- 2009 Colorado History Award - Kira Austin
- Third Place, Website Category - Casey Hunt
This was the second year in a row that Rangeview High School students have won the History of Colorado Award.
If for any reason the first or second place winners cannot attend the national competition in June, Casey Hunt would go in their stead as an alternate.
Congratulations to all our winners!
