Wheeling Hosts International Night

Wheeling International NightWheeling Elementary School recently hosted their first International Night as part of implementating the new International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. It was a huge success.

Students started the event by explaining the IB Learner Profile Traits in both English and Spanish. The profile traits include:

  • Communicator
  • Risk-Taker
  • Knowledgeable
  • Open-Minded
  • Reflective
  • Principled
  • Balanced
  • Inquirer
  • Thinker
  • Caring

Families toured classrooms to see the work students have done as part of their IB Units of Inquiry. Students and families displayed artifacts, food, and information in the Media Center about the cultures of Taiwan, Holland, Mexico and England.

Mimi’s Cafe provided dinner and refreshments during the event.
