Extreme Makeover: School Edition

Columbia Middle School students spent the 2008-09 school year in the midst of what they called: “Extreme Makeover: School Edition.” The students painted various compositions in the hallway to improve the school environment. The goal was to make the hallways look more inviting and exciting for students, staff and visitors from the community.
Each student was responsible for designing the project, transferring the design to the wall and mixing colors before painting on the wall. The seventh and eighth graders finished many projects including several murals, cougar paw prints (the school mascot) along the walls and inspirational words above the lockers.
