Summer Camp Takes Students to College
Written by Jennifer Stadler
Several APS middle school students recently attended the Nuñez Foundation Summer Camp at Johnson and Wales University.
During the three-day camp, students attended classes, workshops and presentations from professionals in a variety of fields. This year the camp included everything from a NASA scientist talking about math and science careers, to a culinary class taught by the Johnson and Wales Faculty. Students also toured the campus and slept in the college dorms.
The Nuñez Foundation funds educational and life skill opportunities for Aurora’s youth. To learn more about the Nuñez Foundation, visit http://thenunezfoundation.org/.
