The Children’s Hospital Staff is Giving New Life to APS
Written by Jenn Stadler
Thanks to the hard work of The Children’s Hospital staff volunteers, APS Maintenance and Operations employees, and sponsors from throughout the metro area, Park Lane Elementary School will welcome students back to school with a new landscape and playground equipment.
The volunteers brought new life to the school by planting trees, shrubs and flowers, all of which was donated by various sponsors. “It is a celebration of Aurora Public Schools’ partnership with The Children’s Hospital and the community of Aurora,” said William Stuart, APS Chief Academic Officer.
This was not the first year that The Children’s Hospital staff has donated their time to improve an APS school. Paul Wymen, a volunteer from Children’s jumped at the chance to get into the dirt again. “We want to be here, it’s fun to be a part of creating a great environment for children,” he said.
Thanks again to the volunteers and sponsors:
