Century Office Depot Backpack GiveawayWritten by Jennifer Stadler

State Representative Nancy Todd and Office Depot store manager Tony Rotella recently presented new backpacks to kindergartners and first graders at Century Elementary School. Todd, a former first-grade teacher, also talked to the students about what it means to be a good citizen.

The backpacks were gifts from the National Backpack Program, started by Office Depot in 2001. Since the start of the program, Office Depot has donated nearly 2 million backpacks nationwide.

Jennifer Stadler is an intern with the APS Communication Department. Jennifer is majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations and Advertising at the University of South Dakota.
