Clyde Miller, Lyn Knoll and Sixth Avenue elementary schools recently posted bike rodeos as part of the Safe Routes to School Grant from the City of Aurora.
More than 150 students in grades 3-5 participated and received free helmets. Volunteers repaired bikes at each rodeo, and a local bike shop donated loaner bikes for kids to use who did not have their own bike. Students also received bicycle skills training.
