Classified Employees WeekPlease read the following letter and proclamation from Superintendent John L. Barry and the APS Board of Education regarding Colorado Classified School Employees Week.

APS Teammates,

During the week of October 11-17, Aurora Public Schools joins districts across Colorado to celebrate Classified School Employees Week.

I want to take time out to acknowledge our more than 1,600 support staff members who make a difference for students, families and business partners every day. These dedicated sClassified Employees Weektaff members are the quiet success stories–often the invisible heroes. They are the critical supporters that help keep our district running smoothly.

From safely transporting our students, preparing and serving nourishing meals, assisting in classrooms and offices and keeping our buildings safe and clean, I know how vital our classified employees are to student success and to VISTA 2010.

Please join me in thanking our classified teammates for all they do. We celebrate your contributions this week!

John L. Barry

“Everyone counts, no one is invisible and every employee can make it better than they found it.”
