Aurora Central High School students recently honored veterans with a flag raising ceremony.
The ceremony was a tribute to veterans for their bravery and courage while serving in the United States armed forces.
Veterans from the APS school district and community were invited to attend this event. “Every year I see more and more people and it’s just a wonderful thing,” said Aurora Central Bookkeeper Cheryl Lash.
Lash has been hosting the Veterans Day flag raising ceremony at Aurora Central for 17 years.

Brittney is an intern in the Communication Department. She is a senior at Aurora Central High School and a part of the Executive Internship Program at Pickens Technical College.
