American Education Week 2009

APS Teammates:

APS and public schools throughout the nation celebrate American Education Week, Nov. 15-21. The annual tagline, “Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility,” reminds us of the significance that education plays in society.

Every day throughout APS, our teachers and support staff demonstrate how seriously we take our responsibility of providing a quality education for all of our students. I commend you for the degree of care and commitment that all of you have for our students.

APS students also have the support of parents and community members that volunteer in our schools, donate resources and partner with us to ensure that we are preparing our students to compete for 21st century jobs.

I applaud your dedication to making our public schools great. Thank you for what you do every day for our students.

Sincerely,

JB
